Who's behind it
Piyush started his first company at 19, The Optimist Citizen, and ran it for seven years, growing it to 25,000+ print readers across 27 cities and recognition from Forbes Asia.
Since then he's built and run operations across three very different companies: as an early team member at Skiller Whale, a London-based e-learning startup; managing an early-stage portfolio at WTFund, a fund backed by Nikhil Kamath; and as Founding Head of Operations at Human Archive, a Y Combinator-backed Physical AI startup, building its operations from zero.
The throughline across all of it: a founder who operates, and an operator who thinks like a founder. He started Frexam to fix a problem no one else was addressing, the financial weight of standardised tests landing entirely on students.
Hemant brings 20+ years across international education, assessment, and supply chain, with a track record of building large operations and making them run well. As Associate Director at IDP, he led IELTS operations across multiple regions, delivering 10x growth and AUD 50M+ in revenue while building 2,000+ partnerships and leading large teams.
Before education, he built a deep operational foundation at DHL, Kuehne+Nagel, Safexpress, and Aditya Birla Retail, driving supply-chain optimisation and earning performance awards for cost efficiency and execution.
He is known for pairing strategy with execution, across market expansion, digital transformation, and P&L ownership. At Frexam, that means the partnerships and operations behind every exam a student books through us.
